Tony Olson is the Founder and Principal of Bonsai Financial, an Arizona-based financial advisory firm. He is also the Chief Compliance Officer for Bonsai Financial Services, LLC, a Registered Investment Adviser.

He brings a broad scope of experience to Bonsai, focusing on dynamic retirement planning, insurance and investment management to meet the ever-changing demands of his client’s financial goals.

Tony is a licensed Investment Adviser Representative, which means he is held to the fiduciary standard and is legally required to act in your best interest. As a conservative wealth manager, he works to provide low-risk, personalized investment management strategies to help clients secure and maintain their financial independence throughout retirement. He also works with attorneys to assist clients with complex estate planning and special needs trusts.

Originally from Minnesota, Tony holds a B.A. in communication & music (vocal performance) from the University of Minnesota, Morris and completed post-graduate work at the University of St. Thomas and the University of Minnesota. He is also life and health insurance licensed in the state of Arizona. He currently resides in Phoenix, AZ and takes advantage of every opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities including hiking, gardening and swimming.

Sam is a Partner and Advisor at Bonsai Financial. He enjoys helping clients pursue their long-term financial objectives through a systematic approach to goal-setting and problem-solving. Coming from a background in aviation, he has a unique perspective when it comes to risk management, implementation of a plan that is both individualized and flexible, and keeping the long-term objectives in mind.

Sam holds a degree in Aviation from the Academy College in Bloomington, MN. He is a licensed Investment Advisor Representative, which means he is held to the fiduciary standard and is legally required to act in your best interest. Sam also has passed the Series 65 securities exam and holds life and health insurance licenses in Arizona, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Florida.

Sam currently resides in Gilbert, AZ with his wife, their 17-year-old son, and three dogs. Sam enjoys spending time with his family and loves the outdoors, specifically playing golf, tennis, hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, and fishing.
